HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — OXXO Care Cleaners® has opened two new multi-unit stores in Indonesia as part of its continued international expansion, it reports.

“Following two years of market development in Asia, we opened two additional OXXO stores in Makassar, the largest city in eastern Indonesia,” says Salomon Mishaan, founder and CEO.

“These are the next two stores of a total of eight now sold by Henry Soesanto, our Indonesia franchise developer,” Mishaan indicates.

The firm’s growth in Indonesia began in 2014 in Surabaya, it writes, the second largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta. Three centrally located stores were converted from traditional dry cleaners using perc into its branded stores.

Eighteen months later, in January 2015, the company opened the first store in Jakarta, the first franchised-unit outside Surabaya.

The fifth store for this Florida-based franchise opened on May 2015 in Sidoarjo, the suburb area of Surabaya. This was followed by the launch of a drop-store in Surabaya, it notes.

“Our foremost recognition in Indonesia has been that people see the dangers of perc and that OXXO offers a healthy alternative,” says Soesanto, the Indonesia franchise developer. “The firm’s quality convenience and ecological solution has been met with open arms,” he relates.

Having sold 50 franchise stores to date, the company writes, “Mishaan has developed a winning strategy,” now aimed at global multi-unit franchisees.
